  • Oil Painting using handmade oil paints from plants and earth

    Gender Imbalance

A striking and emotional depiction of the struggles faced by women in a world where gender imbalance persists. Painted with natural, handmade oil paint, giving the piece a raw and earthy quality that reflects the deep roots of the issue at hand.

Tackling two of the most urgent challenges of today’s world in one piece - gender inequality and the climate crisis. Handmade pigments and oils to try and keep my impact on Papatūānuku as low as possible while pushing the social boundaries.

The artwork is a powerful and evocative call to action, a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality, and a tribute to the strength, courage and resilience of women everywhere.

Finished with Gamvar satin varnish and a floating wooden frame.
